Frankie Russell Quale, 31, of Augusta (above), is accused of using a pool cue to beat a man early Tuesday at the Cue and Brew at 252 Washington Road.Victim Joseph Doran suffered fractures to his jaw, a concussion and severe cuts to his lip that required surgery, according to a sheriff's report. He was taken to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital for treatment.
Authorities say the assault followed an argument over a pool game about 1 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Quale was charged with aggravated battery.
