Aiken County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators announced today the arrest of a Beech Island man for trying to set up a meth lab.
James Edward Mcrae, 44, of 595 Beech Island Ave., Beech Island, was charged with attempt to manufacture methamphetamine.
On Tuesday, narcotics investigators obtained a search warrant for the suspect's home and discovered materials for making methamphetamine. The materials were secured and disposed of through a government-contracted cleanup crew.
