Dumb Crook Alert!

NOTE TO CRIMINALS: If you're going to try to fool cops by giving them someone else's name, make sure the other person isn't on the Wanted list, too.

Alonzo Harrris, 25, of Augusta,
was stopped this week by a deputy while driving on Lee Beard Way. He identified himself as Derrick Harris. The only problem was that Derrick Harris had outstanding warrants, so the deputy took Alonzo to jail.

At the jail, the brilliant Alonzo Harris fessed up that he had given the officer a false name. He told the officer "he used his brother's name because he thought he could get away with it, but he did not realize his brother had warrants, too."

Alonzo was charged with giving false name and date of birth.

  6. Him not having any other charges just goes to show, if he would of told the truth he would of been good. Why lie if you didn't have warrants yourself. Dumb ass, and he probably tried to say he didn't have an ID on him.
