Mom Arrested for Daughter's Hooky
A mother in Martinez was arrested Tuesday for not making her 14-year-old daughter go to school.
Felicia Suzanne Holley, 36, is accused of not requiring her minor child to attend school as required by Georgia law, according to Columbia County authorities.
Authorities say the mother did not provide proper documentation and supervision of her minor child. She also didn't respond to the sheriff’s office or officials at Stallings Island Middle School in reference to her daughter missing more than 20 days of school, officials said.
Ms. Holley was charged with violation of school attendance laws. She was booked and later released on bond.
