"Person of Interest" Found
Investigators have interviewed 33-year-old Tony Darryl Collier as a “person of interest" in a drug-related slaying Monday morning at 1631 Cleveland Street in Augusta.
Henry “Mendez” Stokes, 37, was found shot to death at the address, which is a boarding house. The motive for the killing appears to be a drug-related robbery, said Lt. Scott Peebles with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
Mr. Collier (shown above in a previous mugshot) is not considered a suspect at this time, but was believed to have information crucial to the investigation.
