What do these three suspects have in common?
They were among the first to have their mugshots and charges listed on the Richmond County's new inmate inquiry, a public website which allows users to check who is currently in jail.
Visitors to the site can view detainees by name or look at a list of people who were recently booked into the jail. And the best part: They all include mugshots.
The website has been a year in the making. Jail officials say they have so many calls from people asking about inmates, they hope this will crack down on the time spent answering those calls.
For the record, here are the people shown above and their charges:
- Floyd Ellison, 32 (top mugshot), is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, excessive noise, no insurance coverage, driving without a license, expired tag, no seatbelt, a bench warrant and two order to show cause.
- James Sherman, 40 (middle), is charged with stalking.
- Kevin Richardson, 17 (bottom), is charged with theft by taking and possession of a pistol by a person under 18.
