James Bernard Thomas, 19, of Augusta, has been arrested on a charge of felony rape following allegations from a 19-year-old woman that he locked her in her apartment and forced her to have sex last month.
The woman made the claim on Nov. 27. Mr. Thomas was arrested Sunday.
According to a report, the woman said she went to an apartment to retrieve a key from Mr. Thomas at 6:45 pm on Nov. 27. The victim said Mr. Thomas then locked her in the apartment and forcibly raped her.
