Fraud & Forgery
Aiken County authorities have jailed several people recently for financial crimes.
In the last 24 hours, Aiken public safety arrested 40-year-old Tammy Tyler of Aiken (top) on charges of bank fraud. She's a repeat offender who was charged in 2004 with fraudulent check and in 1995 with two counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.
Also, North Augusta public safety officers charged 37-year-old Martha Lovett of Trenton (bottom) with two counts of forgery - value less than $5,000. She's a repeat offender, too. She was arrested in Aiken County in April for DUI, driving under suspension, child endangerment and unlawful possession of prescription drugs. In 2005, Martha was arrested for a fraudulent check.
