Columbia County authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who went Christmas shopping a little early and stole expensive electronics from two different Wal-marts this month.
The suspect first walked into the Evans Wal-mart on Nov. 9 and put two Playstations in his cart, placed clothing over them and then walked out of the fire exit of the garden center with the items.
Four days later, the man walked into the Grovetown Wal-Mart, put two Nikon digital cameras in his cart, placed clothes over them and then walked out of the fire exit of the garden center.
In both cases, store employees didn't realize the theft had occurred until reviewing video surveillance.
Anyone with information about the man's identity is asked to call the Columbia County Sheriff's Office at 706-541-2800.
