Drunk Driving on Christmas Day

Aiken County authorities were out in full force on Christmas Day, making sure the roads were safe for those who were traveling. As part of their efforts, three people were busted for drunk driving yesterday:
  • North Augusta public safety officers arrested 44-year-old Bryan Lavender (top) with his second DUI offense and having open container of alcohol in his vehicle.
  • Aiken public safety stopped Aiken resident Eddie Abney (middle photo) on Christmas night and charged him with driving under the influence.
  • The South Carolina Highway Patrol leveled multiple charges against Graniteville resident Katherine Yonce (bottom) after stopping her in the evening. She was charged with DUI, driving under suspension, operating an uninsured vehicle and other traffic offenses.
