For the second time in two months, an Augusta woman's been accused of leaving her children at home alone to go clubbing.This time, 25-year-old Lashanda Mobley allegedly left her 9-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son without supervision while she went to Club Cream to bring in the new year.
The daughter apparently became scared and called 911 after she heard gunfire outside their Second Avenue residence as the new year arrived at midnight. Deputies found her and the younger brother at home alone. The mom had been gone for about three hours, a report states.
Ms. Mobley was charged with two counts of contributing to the deprivation of a minor, according to jail records. Social service workers placed the children in the care of a relative.
The arrest follows a similar story from November when an Augusta mother allegedly left her three young children home alone to hang out at a local night club. In that case, Jennifer Racheal Thomas, 24, was accused of leaving her 2-year-old daughter, 5-year-old son and 7-year-old son alone at home.

ReplyDeleteThis sad....These young girl laid down for a 5 minutes of pleasure knowing there is a great proability of becaming pregnant and know they are not ready for any children.My heart goes out to the children because they didn't ask to come in this world.

ReplyDeleteEverybody wants to talk bad about the mother no those kids didn't ask to come to this world but she is not the only mothere that leaves her childrens in the house to go clubbing,its others out there to just haven't got caught but i'm pretty sure this wasn't the first time, the loud noise just scared them this time,Duh no the club wan't that inportant,she should have been there to bring the new years n with them anyway.
