UPDATED
Corduray Scott, 22, of Augusta, has been charged with murder after authorities say he shook his 3-month-old son Monday and caused the boy to go into a coma and eventually die.
The boy, Corduray Scott Jr., suffered serious injuries that included multiple broken ribs and two detached retinas. His mother took him to the hospital Monday after he appeared to be having seizures, but authorities say he likely suffered from shaken baby syndrome. The boy died Thursday.
The boy's father reportedly said he was upset with the boy because he wouldn't' stop crying.
Mr. Scott remains in jail under no bond.

ReplyDeletewhere was the mother, cause i read that she was in the house sleeping, she didnt hear the baby crying. I know if a mother hears her baby crying and will not stop, she is going to see what is going on.
ReplyDeleteThere has been an update to this story...where reports state there was abuse shown to happen before the death even occurred. That the baby had a enlarged brain from lack of oxygen over a longer time frame. Plus reports states, he heard the baby crying and pushed the baby swing the baby was in, breaking it leaving the baby hanging upside down and he left the room for 10 mins, and also he left the baby on the couch before with his face in the cushions until the baby has turned blue from not breathing.
