Eddie Eugene Lavant, 36, of Hephzibah, was charged Tuesday with forcibly raping a woman.
The 30-year-old victim said the incident happened after the suspect became intoxicated at her home. She told Richmond County authorities that Mr. Lavant threatened to beat her unless she had sex with him.
He is being held in the Richmond County Detention Center.
Put him in a Cage for 20 years.
