The Owner of the T-shirt
Last month, Richmond County authorities were looking for the owner of a T-shirt left at the slaying of Darryl Walden at Salem Arms Apartments. They said the person who owned it was the suspect.
Apparently, they found the owner.
Early this morning, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Patrick Dela Butler (above) and charged him with shooting Mr. Walden to death on August 18. According to Lt. Scott Peebles, Mr. Butler had been a suspect in the case for over a week but conclusive evidence linking him to the case was not obtained until yesterday morning.
Mr. Butler claims a Heckle Street address, but has a relative who lives at Salem Arms. The suspect is being held without bond at the Richmond County Jail on charges of murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
