Ever since Ashley Dallas was convicted in 2002 for having sex with a young girl between ages 11-14, the New Ellenton man can't seem to stay out of trouble.
The 31-year-old offender was arrested again Monday on felony charges of credit card theft and credit card fraud.
Here's a little background: In 2002, Ashley was convicted of criminal sexual conduct with a female minor (age 11-14). According to an online registry, he was convicted and released the same day. Since his release, Ashley's been arrested NINE MORE TIMES in Aiken County.
He's been arrested for grand larceny, shoplifting, larceny, distribution of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under a suspended license, failure to appear in family court, no insurance, expired license plate, accessory after the fact to a felony, and -- get this -- failure to register as a sex offender.
Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. But how many chances does a repeat offender with a sexual assault conviction on their record get before they're put away? We're just asking.
