Buying Alcohol for Minors

Repeat offender Michael Melton, 22, of Aiken, was charged Saturday morning with purchasing alcohol for minors.

Being a good Samaritan for minors may cost Michael dearly, however. The Aiken County Jail has a hold on him for the S.C. Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services. We assume that means the state agency wants a word with the Aiken man about his alleged criminal activity.

It seems Mr. Melton's been in trouble before. He's been arrested at least five times in the last two years, charged twice with forgery as well as contempt of court and unlawful possession of prescription medication.

And now he's accused of buying alcohol for juveniles. You know what they say - no good deed goes unpunished.
