Guys Who Wish Marijuana was Already Legal

We've been asking for your comments on whether the federal government should legalize marijuana (see below post).

Here are three guys who wish marijuana was already legal. They each got busted in Richmond County in the last few days for marijuana offenses.

  • Damien Robinson, 18, of Hephzibah (top), was charged with felony marijuana offense.
  • Sheldon Coatney, 31, of Augusta (middle), was charged with possession of marijuana and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
  • James Culver, 24, of Augusta (bottom), was charged with possession of marijuana and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
Let us know what you think. Are law enforcement wasting their time busting people for marijuana? Hit the comment button below and give us your thoughts.

  1. I'm not a smoker, but they will never legalize it because the government can't tax it and if they can't get any money they're not going to legalize it

  2. Ugh I dont see why they just dont sell it just like they sale ciggarettes I mean would you rather go get it from the dopeman and deal with drama or go smoke some "government" marijuana straight from the store. Hmmmm I'm sure you would want the best right? Theres your money right there! Morons! How many deaths have DUI's caused? So dont try to say its a harmful drug.

  4. MARY JANE, Should be legal, the law could spend the money they use for busting people with Mary Jane on people that need to be arested. I have never been arested for it, but I know it's ilegal to have in your possion but not to smoke it!!!! God Made it, it came from the ground for us to enjoy. MAKE IT LEGAL and stop wasteing tax payers money!!!

  5. Furthermore, if it was legalized, there would be no incentive for people living outside the law to try and make a living by selling it. That would include Mexican drug cartels as well as some of the fine Augustans frequently featured on this site.

  8. its cheaper to buy weed and get high than to buy alcohol and get drunk, also before I turned 18 it was easy to get weed but hard to buy something to roll it in to smoke. Great job keeping the drugs off the street officers
